A House is a Nature, Nature is a House

Central Glass International Architectural Design Competition 2021.

Interpathetic Spaces

Maybe a house is a diagram. Maybe a house is not a house at all, but nature itself. Artificial. But nature. It is an island. Or better; a multitude of islands. The range of occurences is large; Gardens. Lakes. Parks. A multitude of forms and multitude of meanings. The islands simulate historical architecture; Greek architecture. Roman architecture. Pre-Romanesque architecture. Forms suggest content; Living room. Dining room. Kitchen. Bedroom. Study. Playroom. The house asks: How can we be together? With friends and family. However, nature asks: How can we be alone? With heaven and earth? With ourselves. Each fragment offers a different answer to the same question. House and nature are identical. Together, they act as a diagram, grown out of history, facing the present, with an optimistic view to a more beautiful future.
